The Ramsey County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative worked within the community for a year and half to create a special project. Children’s Mental Health: The Whole Story is a locally-produced, documentary-style training film about children’s mental health and trauma. The film is narrated by a teen with mental illness and uses real stories from families and providers across multiple systems. It offers a down to earth and holistic look at challenges, strengths, and opportunities for intervention. It also provides discussion on policy- what works and what is needed.

The website provides a link to download the film as well as a 124-page Resource and Discussion guide. The film can be watched as a 1 hr 49 min documentary or divided up into shorter Learning Chapters. Both the film and guide are free for public use!
