Check out the latest Alumni Spotlight from recent #UMNMCH graduate Katie Lins (MPH 2024). Katie reflects on her deployment, where she helped increase awareness of community resources and improve understanding of their pediatric patient population. By developing needs assessments, creating newsletters, and highlighting resources, she worked to improve overall patient well-being.

Jen Farnsworth MPH from Milken Institute for Public Health at George Washington University, is the April feature of MCH Leads. In her blog entry, titled “How My MCH MPH Helps Me as a Violence Prevention Specialist,” Jen applies MCH Competency 1 (MCH Knowledge Base/Context) to her work as a Senior Violence Prevention Specialist at LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services.
