The national Justice-Involved Women and Children (JIWC) Collaborative interactive map and directory highlights the enhanced perinatal programs serving pregnant and postpartum people who are incarcerated across the U.S.

Enhanced perinatal programs provide a comprehensive set of services (community-based programs, doula support, prenatal education, midwifery care, lactation support and parenting education) during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period that go beyond standard clinical care. We hope this Directory also helps identify opportunities to expand enhanced perinatal programming in carceral settings.
