Please see the below important dates and deadlines and add them to your calendars.
2026-2027
Supervisors: Please make sure to incorporate your own institution’s paperwork and anything that the students or the Center director may need to sign, in mind to ensure a prompt start date.
- May 22, 2026: Internship descriptions are finalized by site supervisors.
- Week of June 8: Internship descriptions are posted and shared with current/incoming MCH students. Qualified students will be contacted for an interview by the site supervisor. Applications will be accepted until internships are filled.
- June 29: Applications close.
- July 17: Interviews complete. Internship offers made to student by site supervisor. Internship paperwork is started.
- July 31: Internship paperwork completed by students, site supervisor and Sara.
- August 26: MCH Program Orientation for incoming MCH students
- September 8: Fall semester begins
- September 8-14: Supervisors have operations manuals, an orientation meeting and other materials ready for interns’ September 14 start date
- September 14, 2026: Student internships start date
- October 1: Stipend #1 issued
- December 1: Stipend #2 issued
- December 17-23: Finals week/End of fall semester
- December 23: Winter break begins (All Center-funded students should plan to continue their work during break, and/or adjust their hours for any time off)
- January 19, 2027: Spring semester begins
- March 1: Stipend #3 issued
- March 8-12: Spring break (Center-funded students should plan to continue their work as usual or adjust their hours before/after if they take time away)
- May 1: Stipend #4 (final) issued
- May 12: Spring semester ends (Center-funded students should continue working until May 24, when their position ends)
- May 24, 2027: 2026-2027 student position end date (all positions unless indicated otherwise)
